It Felt Like a Hallmark Movie...

Went to the cute little town of Rupert to watch Santa Claus turn on the town square lights. There were carolers dressed in vintage clothing. Ice Skating. Hot Chocolate and Chili. After the light lighting there were fireworks. What a great way to start off the Holiday Season.

Wisonsin - You Have Been Good to Us, We Will Miss You!

Picked up the U-haul on Tuesday morning and had it loaded by mid-afternoon. Thankful for the two Elders that helped us with the big things. We spent Wednesday getting the cars running before the tow truck picked them up on Thursday afternoon. We made it to Jamestown, ND that evening. Eternally grateful that the weather held for us.

Headed out Friday morning and decided that we could make it the whole way. Pulled into our new home 16+ hours later, the two cars being dropped off a few hours prior.

CJ and family came Saturday morning to help us unload. What a great blessing that was. We had the U-Haul unloaded by early afternoon.

Last Stop Before Idaho - Mapleton, Utah...

The last few days are a blur. We stayed Wednesday night with Chris and his family in Mapleton Utah. The next morning, we had the trailer winterized in Draper before heading to Heyburn. We were able to get the vehicles inspected for registration in Rupert. We stayed Thursday night at a hotel in Burley. Friday morning, we closed on the house. Chad took the trailer to storage that afternoon in Twin Falls and bought a mattress for us to use that night. Thankfully our realtor gifted us a blanket for which we were very grateful. We spent Saturday running errands. Sunday, we attended church before heading to stay the night with CJ and his family in Providence Utah. Monday, we headed to the SLC airport for our next adventure.

Stayed the night at Grants KOA Journey where we were greeted with homemade cookies. They served a pancake breakfast the following morning, but we opted for the local McDonald's that had a big enough parking lot.

Stop #4 - Amarillo Texas

Made it by (Monday) morning and stayed at the Oasis RV Resort and Cottages for one night. Although the water hookup did not work, the bathrooms, with a very nice shower, and the laundry were close. Couldn't pass up the chance to see the famous Cadillac Ranch nearby before heading out.

Stop #3 - Loyd Park, Grand Prairie Texas

Spent Friday at the Fort Worth Stockyards culminating with the rodeo at the Cowtown Coliseum. Saturday, we enjoyed the Dallas Temple followed by a birthday dinner at Chama Gaucha. Well worth the almost 2-year wait! Loyd Park was a beautiful spot, next to a lake. First time at a dump station provided fun memories.
